Undersized Urbanite Contest Update

Hey everyone, I finally sat down yesterday to work on the dollhouse for the Undersized Urbanite dollhouse contest, but when I started taking it apart and cleaning it, I realized there is more work
than I thought. We're working on a new show for our channel so I don't have much time to spend on the project. So I decided to enter the new set for the show, the apartment.

Here is video of what I've done so far.

I am working on a few projects for the apartment.

Here are some before shots.

I want to make the kitchen island a bit taller, it's too short.

I have already painted the table white to match the chairs.

I want to change the background.

I will also be adding more to this kitchen counter.

That's all for now. I hope you will all vote for me.
Deadline for contest is beginning of February.
Will keep you posted here.

Thanks for stopping by.

Dollhouse Contest Entry

I found this dollhouse at a garage sale for only $2, it is broken but I can see the potential and hope it works out as it does it my head right now. I will be entering this dollhouse in the Undersized Urbanite dollhouse contest due in Feburary.
My goal is to make it look like a real home. I have all the materials I need, all I need now is time. Subscribe and follow this blog for updates a long the way. I hope you will all take some time and vote for me and my dollhouse when the contest is running.
Do you any decorating ideas for me, would love to read them, please comment down below and please share this post. Thank you.

I was going to transform another dollhouse for barbies, but the size was
scaring me, didn't think I would have time to finish it before the contest was over.
Than I saw this dollhouse at a garage sale, for only $2. As soon as I saw it
I knew this was the dollhouse to enter, I could already picture what I was going to do
with the exterior.

Dark grey brick with lots of grey and black accents, maybe a red door?

Not sure what to do with the inside. The couches and chairs are going
to be hard to remove, its attached to the house, but I really want to get rid of them and use
other furniture I have. I may have to build around them.

The second floor is scaring me too, I haven't removed the tape yet and have a
really good look at it, but looks like most of the second floor is falling apart, I hope
I can fix it with some wood pieces and popsicle sticks.

I think the window is an easy fix, want to make it look like the other one.
I'm thinking coffee stir sticks will do it.

Can't wait to start working on it, will have to put aside a couple of hours
a day to get it finished it time.

Tell me your thoughts on what I should do with the inside. I do prefer
a modern look, what do you think?

Undersized Urbanite Dollhouse Tour | Before

Hey everyone, please watch, comment, rate and share our new video with all your
social media friends and family.

I'm entering the Undersized Urbanite contest this year, and I found this
dollhouse on Kijiji for only $20. It came with a lot of accessories, some furniture
and a few barbies so it was a great deal, even if the house isn't in great shape.

First of all I have to make a taller outdoor background for my
videos and pictures, I used two separate sky boards but it kept falling.

I want to make this house look more realistic so I'm getting rid of all the pink.

I recently bought some dark grey brick sheets from ebay, I was
going to use them on something else but I think I may try it on this dollhouse
if I have enough sheets.

There's a missing door but I think instead of making another door, I may cover
it up or add a window instead.

Not loving the front door but not much I can do, or can I?

Don't like the kitchen, I hope I can remove it without removing the
walls from the house, will probably build something from scratch, unless I have
something else to replace it. Will need new chairs too. One of the chairs is broken.
I will try to fix it but there's only two chairs.

I don't like the washroom either, I hope I can also remove it without damaging
the walls,

I don't like dollhouse with elevators so I'm also going to try to remove it
and fix the floor so I can put maybe some plants in that corner??

I have a lot of work ahead of me and the deadline is February.
I would appreciate any ideas from you, on colour, design etc.

If you love building or decorating dollhouses, you should definitely enter
the Undersized Urbanite dollhouse contest, it's a lot of fun. There is two categories, one
category for experienced dollhouse makers and one for newbies.

Please subscribe and follow this blog for updates on my progress.
